2nd Shooters aka two of my very favorite people

With all of the weddings that I have been booking lately, one of the questions I'm asked is "Who is your 2nd shooter?". Good question- I thought I could introduce you to the two people I've used. Both are creative and have a good eye. Not to mention incredibly good looking :) The first individual is the person who encouraged me to start a photography business- my husband, Nathan. We started off saying that this was "our" business (and he does accompany me on almost every session), but since he has to have a "regular job" too, he hasn't been able to be as involved as he'd like. The goal is to someday be busy enough to become one of those awesome Hubby/Wife duo's, and I really think we'll reach that goal someday, but for now he still get to help with weddings! Here he is at Stephanie and Dan's wedding...

The 2nd person that I have used is my best friend Alyssa. She has the camera, lenses and talent and I can see SO much potential in her! She helped me with Christine and Adams's wedding and I was pleasantly surprised with the shots she got! Here she is in action...
I'm hoping that she will be 2nd shooting with me A LOT next summer :)
So in conclusion...On your wedding day you will be covered! Here are a few of my favorite shots of theirs..

Kari & Grayer

I had the pleasure of meeting Kari, Grayer(love that name!) and Kari's parents for some fun mom/son and family shots. I brought along some gummy worms to entice Grayer to smile for me, but I barely needed them! He's a sweet little boy who loved the location we chose (lots of stuff to explore!) and gave me LOTS of smiles...and lots of loving on his mommy too :)  Here are a few of my favorites!

The Ruhl Family|Lee's Summit Family Photographer

Back in June I received an email from Marjie asking about my "womb to one" package- Marjie and her husband Nate are due with their 4th child...4th BOY to be exact! I was excited to finally meet the Ruhl family (if you remember back to last October I took their niece Anaya's photos...and will soon be posting this years photo session with that Ruhl family). The boys all behaved great and felt pretty comfortable in front of my camera, making it easy for me to capture their true personalities. And no, the little blonde haired, blue eyed Jack isn't adopted :)  I can't wait to meet baby boy #4 and do his newborn session in December! Here are just a few favorites from our session- I especially love the two older boys hugging mom's belly...

Slacker.

I have been way too busy to keep up with the blog lately...I had great plans of blogging every session as I went and then posting a small album on my facebook fan page- that didn't work out :)  I'm at least 10 sessions behind on here, but in the meantime you can always keep up to date by becoming a fan on facebook! I thought I'd post one from the wedding I did last week, that will be a fun post, so many details! My website should be up and running anytime now so I'll let you know when that is finished!
