Catching up...

I need to play a little catch up! We just announced the winner of our latest contest late night, the winner is Ava Callahan with the Haiku  "We are Callahans, Need a family picture, Would be the first!"  Good job, Ava! And you were one of the few who actually stuck to the 5 syllable, 7 syllable, 5 syllable rule!
The past few weeks I've had the pleasure to do a few adorable babies/toddlers, and a few families as well! I shot half of the Mendenhall session at my house by my big bay window and they turned out really great. That window lets in so much natural light (which I prefer 100% of the time!). Here are a few of their indoor and then outdoor (family) sessions...

They are SOOOOOO cute. These are some of my all time favorite pictures, it was super easy to capture their personalities. Kids are so fun to capture. Later that week we went out to do some family photos...

Adam and Jessi, you guys have a beautiful family!

2nd Free Photoshoot Contest!! Haiku Style.

Alright, we've reached 300 fans (on our facebook fan page) and have decided to celebrate with a little contest for a free photoshoot! This time around is going to be different though...there is actual work on your part involved. Nathan thought it would be fun if YOU write a HAIKU about either 1)the PEOPLE(example:your family, parents, kids, significant other, dog...) you want your picture taken with or 2) WHY you want a photoshoot/deserve it. The contest begins tonight, November 11th and ends on November 18th, and you must leave your Haiku either as a message on this blog entry, or on the fan page as a comment on the Contest Note. One entry per person, and we will review the entries and present them to a small panel of judges and ONE WINNER will be chosen for a free photoshoot. The date and time of the photoshoot are a little more flexible this time around, so once a winner is chosen we will work out the details. This photoshoot will not be as extensive as a regular shoot, but you will be receiving the shoot on location in Lee's Summit, creative editing from myself, and around 50 images on a disc, all rights released to YOU to print wherever and do whatever you wish with! I hope you're as excited as we are! Now ENTER!!!

Oh! Don't know what a Haiku is??? It's a unrhymed form of verse of the Japanese origin; three lines, usually 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables

Example:
This contest is cool
I have to tell all my friends
I so hope I win.

And that is NOT winner material right there... give me your best!! :)

Andy & Jamie: crazy in love!

These two act like newlyweds, even though they've been married for a few years now! They are so sweet to eachother, Andy kept leaning over and telling Jamie how pretty she is...awww! We started at their house so they could get a family picture with their dogs, Sly & Griffin (two adorable puggles) and then we headed over to Unity Village and finished up! It was great weather and we had a lot of fun just walking around and stopping at different spots. Thanks Andy and Jamie and I know that you will have a very blessed marriage!
